Banbridge Lip reading Group was started when Les Williams went to his audiology department 3 years ago and saw a leaflet for Lip Reading, unfortunately the only classes available were in Belfast and Londonderry. When Les wanted to start a class of his own nearer home he was told by Southern Area Health that 'it was impossible' and 'it couldn't be done ! ' This made him more determined so with the help of his wife and 'Hearing Link' they started one locally in Tesco's Outlet Centre Banbridge who have provided the community room,tea. coffee & biscuits free of charge. The Group rely on funding which they get from running Quiz nights, Bootsales, Ballots, etc
