Story

Hi everyone ,

I heard about Shaping Futures a couple of years ago an now im privileged to be part of something so amazing !! I have volunteered to go to the Phillipines in September 2018 for two weeks to teach basic hairdressing skills to disadvantaged young adults so they can provide for themselves when they have to leave the SOS childrens village once they turn 18. I’ve been hairdressing 20 years this year and think by passing on my hairdressing skills to children who need it the most is the best way the celebrate.

I will be giving my time an my skills so if you could all help by giving some money no matter how little it will help so much to the lives of these children.

Transforming Lives Through Hairdressing

Shaping Futures offers a brighter future to disadvantaged youngsters by teaching them the craft of hairdressing. What started in 2008 as a local Japanese project with Cambodian street children, evolved into a global initiative in 2010 when Schwarzkopf Professional partnered with SOS Children’s Villages - a leading non-profit organisation – to launch Shaping Futures.

Voluntary teams from our partner salons have been bringing their hairdressing knowledge and expertise to disadvantaged youngsters in twenty-five countries. For the poorest communities, any education at all can seem out of reach, with children often working rather than attending school.

Thank you for your support
