My Awesome Mam, Barbara Donald sadly passed away on the 23rd of September after a very short but hard fight against illness.

In her memory we would like to raise funds for one of her many Passions.. Young People - particularly in Silloth where she lived.. but all Young People. Mam was always saying "there is nothing for the kids to do here".. so we are hoping to use the funds we raise in her memory to increase activities for the 11-18 year old age group. The aim is to give them a chance to find something to be Passionate about..

We have many many ideas, a few of which are
* Try Out Days at Golf (much loved Sport of Mam)
* Cycling Summer School Days with Athletes and Coaches
* Equipment for the After-School Friday Club
* Bringing Inspirational People to talk and demonstrate things to them
* Funding kids to attend summer camp who can't afford it
and much more

This won't be just handing out money - the Youngsters will have to contribute something towards receiving what they would like - giving to receive.. giving their time, energy, knowledge, skills to help others will in turn help them receive funding to find their dreams..
Some ideas of their contribution could be
*they teach their vast IT (Phone/Ipad/Email) skills to the large Elderly Community..
*Managing a Bird Feeding Station..
*Walking the Dog's of Elderly People who need help etc...

We also would like to do an Annual Fund Faising event to keep this Fund going in Mam's memory..

Mam loved life and was full of energy and always looking to reach out and help anyone she could.. and we her friends and family would like to keep her spirit and energy going and help make Silloth have more for the 11-18 year olds to do here..

She would 100% love this idea in her memory and we appreciate any donation anyone would like to give in her Memory
