Way Ahead Support Services, the charity I work for,has been providing services across Leamington and Warwick for over 50 years. Even with that length of time you may not have heard of them, that’s because they have been quietly supporting vulnerable people to receive essential and meaningful services. But it’s time to stop being quiet about what we do as our services, along with many other social care organisations are at risk in the main due to lack of funding and recognition of the importance of social care

One of our supporters, Steve De Bruyne is taking part in the Deloitte Ride Across Britain event in September. Yes that’s right Ride Across Britain 980 odd miles Lands End to John O Groats! He will be on the bike for 9 days taking on all kinds of terrain as well as the British weather. Steve has supported Way Ahead for many years and would love it if his 980 mile ride could in some way support the organisation. Help us to support Steve, who in turn will support the charity by raising £1 for every mile he cycles. That would be £980 for a charity that provides support to people with learning disabilities and mental ill health in their own homes and through meaningful day activities. We are grateful for any and all donations.
