We are Barbican Pirates FC, as the name suggests we are a Football Team, based in sunny Plymouth, Devon, UK. Established in 2013 we are about to embark on our 5th year anniversary as a Club in the 2018-19 Plymouth & West Devon Sunday Football League.

As many will know running a Football team is no easy job, when you are like me (Kris) its especially tough, as I not only own but also manage the club in my own time, unpaid. The hardest part of keeping a grass roots Football team going year after is funding, sponsors are becoming ever harder to find let alone to get funding from, so, we have decided to reach out to you this year, lovers of local Football, people with a passion for Football of all ages, abilities & levels.

As a keen Football fan throughout my 35 years of age my dream was always to own or manage my own team, that dream has become a reality but we need YOUR help to keep that dream alive.

We are not asking for silly sums of money, just simply a few quid that you would usually spend on a morning coffee, weekend pint or a flutter in the bookies! If you can afford to donate as little as £2 or if you choose more we would be forever thankful, further more anyone donating to our cause will have their names added to a roll of honour on our NEW IMPROVED website launching in July 2018, we will also gladly give you a shout out via our Twitter account should you have one, follow us @BarbicanPirates you can also find me personally @AFCfreddie8 or via @Theafcpodcast where I am one of the members of 'ABW' A Bergkamp Wonderland Podcast, who kindly adopted us as their team & the regular shout of #CarpenterOut has becoming a running joke for many!
