Story

Next to our ward there is a small plot of land that has been left to over grow and turn into a bit of an eyesore. We would love to turn this land into a garden/outdoor seating area for our patients as currently our patients have to walk quite a way to get to sit anywhere outside. In summer this would be a perfect place for our patients to sit in the sun while they are with us before and after surgery. To do this though we have to first gain access to the land which involves removing part of a fence and having a ramp installed so that patients can get to the land in wheelchairs or with drip stands safely. Once the ramp has been installed we can then work on revamping the area and make it somewhere our patients can sit either alone or with their families.
We have worked out that we need to work on a massive target of £1000 and are planning a few activities to raise the money. We appreciate that not everyone who would like to take part in our activities can do so, therefore we have set up this page for anyone who would like to help us reach our target by donating.
From all of us on Barclay ward - Thank you!
