Story
Barford St Martin, is a little village on the outskirts of Salisbury in Wiltshire. Someone asked us where our nearest difribrillator was and unfortunatley it was in the next villiage along. Since being asked this we have eatablished that majority of surrounding villiages also have a defribrillators. In our villiage we have people from all walks of life, and all different age groups. To know that our community had a defribrillator would ease a lot of minds if anyone went into cardiac arrest.
This is just the start of fund raising our fundraising attempts we will be also be holding walks, family fun days and other exciting fundraising events.
Having a public access defibrillator (PAD) available in an emergency can be life saving, especially in rural areas where ambulance response imes may be longer.
