Story

At Barking Abbey School we have been joining the effort to make PPE for health care professionals and those at risk of infection by Covid-19

We have been working with an Engineer (and ex Barking Abbey student), from Imperial College, to manufacture visors that can protect people from infection.

The Design and Technology department have been using their facilities to make PPE in a disinfected environment. A number of our DT staff and other volunteers have been helping to make and distribute the visors to local healthcare locations.

We need your donations to acquire more materials so that we can reach our target of at least 1000 visors made and distributed.

Anything you can donate will support this small but worthwhile effort. Any extra money raised will be donated to NHS charities.
