I've raised £1000 to fight the New Dogs regulations 2018

This funding page has been set up to support small dog home boarding and day care business owners affected by the new Licensing of Animal Activities Regulation issued by Defra. Although we broadly welcome the reform, it’s become clear the guidance that tells local authorities how to implement it needs some revisions to ensure the regulations meet their original intentions and are implemented consistently across different council areas. This view is supported by over 12,000 people who have signed a petition asking for the guidance to be given a second look.
In particular there is a need to address differences in rules for different activities, ensure the licence fees are proportionate and meet the governments own standards and that the number of dogs cared for is calculated in a consistent way that takes into account the environment and dogs needs. These changes are important for both individual dog’s welfare and preventing the closure of businesses that provide essential care for thousands of pets across the UK.
