I'm raising £8500 to help the CDCA Children’s Home in Kathmandu.

Story

Hi, I’m Barney and I’m nearly 13 years old.

In April, I will be trekking to Annapurna Base Camp in Nepal — a nine-day trek at high altitude to the base camp of one of the world’s 8000-metre mountains.

I’m completely self-funding this challenge, which means every single penny raised will go directly to the CDCA Children’s Home in Kathmandu.

Why am I doing this?

I feel incredibly lucky to have the opportunities I do — school, sport, family and adventure.

Not every child has that.

The Center for Disabled Children Assistance (CDCA) supports vulnerable and disabled children in Kathmandu, providing care, education, and a safe place to live.

I want to challenge myself physically and mentally while raising money to help children my own age have better opportunities.

The Challenge

• 9 full days trekking

• High altitude conditions

• Cold temperatures

• Steep mountain terrain

• Reaching Annapurna Base Camp

This will be the toughest thing I’ve ever done — but it will be worth it if we can make a difference.
