Story
I have volunteered to be part of a group for Ellesmere College to travel to Tanzania in order to help build water supplies, drainage systems as well as refurbish and build teaching facilities for a number of primary and secondary schools located in the North of the country, at the foot of Kilimanjaro. The programme is part of a wider piece of work that aims to improve the education, environment and facilities for local children.
As part of the programme I've been tasked with raising money to help build these facilities and support the expedition. I appreciate that you are all often contacted for sponsorship but I'd really appreciate any donation (large or small) that you may be able to give.
In return for the sponsorship I have also committed to being part of a group who will be running from the gates of Ellesmere College to the top of Mount Snowdon - 75 miles (mainly uphill!). The run up Snowdon starts at 04.00am and is expected to be completed by around 18.00pm (all being well). I will be part of a team of four, running in a series of legs - typically nearly 20 miles each, to an altitude of nearly 1,100m.
Please give what you can, all donations are very gratefully received!!
Thanks for your support
Barney
