As some of you may know on Thursday 19th May despite the best efforts of the emergency services a gentleman called Roy sadly passed away due to cardiac arrest outside of Stapleford library. He didn’t have a partner and lived alone but he had two children aged 18 and 15 who he use to visit regularly. As you can imagine this has come as a massive shock to them both, his daughter is in the middle of her GCSE exams and his son is just starting his career and as next of kin they have now been given the responsibility to organise and fund his funeral whilst just young teenagers. I’m trying to raise funds that will allow them to give him the funeral he deserved and have somewhere they can visit and remember their dad after everything he did for them. The money raised will also include a donation to East Midlands Ambulance Service for their amazing effort and daily assistance to all patients across Nottingham, Derby and surrounding areas.
