As we approach the festive season, I am reaching out to share a cause close to our hearts. The memorial for our dear friend Barry Draper was held with much love on the 14th of October 2023 at the Eversholt Cricket Club in Buckinghamshire. To those who attended, your presence was a comfort and a tribute to Barry's memory.

Barry's passing on the 1st of September 2023 left a void, yet his spirit of endurance lives on. We are proud to have met our initial fundraising goal of £2,500, dedicated to 'In Memoriam: Barry Draper’s Legacy of Resilience and the Continuing Journey of Hope.' This success is a testament to your generosity and the impact Barry had on our lives.

Now, as we near Christmas, I am inspired to initiate a final push to raise funds in Barry's honour. This effort extends beyond remembrance, offering support to the organisations that provided Barry with exceptional care—Sue Ryder and the NHS East London Foundation Trust.

Whether you've been with us from the start or are just learning of Barry's courageous fight against terminal throat cancer, your support is invaluable. It is a chance to celebrate Barry's life and to extend a helping hand to those facing similar battles.

With every donation, we draw closer to ensuring that the care Barry received is accessible to many more in need. It is our goal to forward all contributions to these charitable causes before Christmas, spreading hope during a time of giving.
