Story

This is my friends 10 year old Rescue German Shepherd Dylan. He got so upset as he is very nervous that he couldn't accompany his friend to the vets(he had to go for surgery to remove breast lumps)that he found a way out..he ended up running in front of a parked car and his front end took the impact of a transit van. He suffered double fractures in both front legs a fractured jaw and lost left front incisor. He was taken to a vet who bandaged, gave painkillers etc. As Dylan is a much loved member of the family and his family were desperate to save him, from initially being told his legs could be crushed and unsaveable at his owners request and unable to secure credit due to recently starting a new job after being off for months due to husbands having heart attack/ surgery and Dylans mams ill health due to mental health problems, an amount of 1,666 was lent by a family member to secure a place at an orthopedic vets near Newcastle for an attempt to save his life. He had to have Xrays etc at local vets beforehand and £600 had to be paid before he was allowed to be collected by his mam and taken to Newcastle. Estimates were 10,000 then quoted 5 to 5.5000 as both legs had 2 breaks each, some open fractures. At a loss as to how to go forward his family had to agree to pay the outstanding balance back over 3 months,so far the total is £6,200. Dylan is doing well, regular visits to vet for follow ups, unfortunately wether related to the accident or not Dylan now needs more surgery as his testicles have swollen to 4 times their size and gone black and red and need removed as soon as his leg injuries have healed sufficiently. He has been extremely brave enduring a 5 day stay in hospital away from everything familiar to him.
His mum already has his best pal another poorly dog to look after as well as horses and she really needs YOUR help to not loose everything that is dear to her.
We are very grateful for any donations however small or big...every penny counts....thank you.
