Bridlington serving Armed Forces Personnel, Veterans and members of the Public,

please could you consider a small donation to enable Bridlington Committee for Armed Forces Day (BCAFD) raise the remaining funds needed to enable Bridlington Town to hold it's Armed Forces Day event on 12 July 2025, as part of the UK's Armed Forces Day events held to show appreciation to the UK's Armed Forces Community of serving personnel, cadets and veterans and their families - All are welcome to attend/support the event.

Since the tragic Manchester bombing incident, public events must be organised with Events Management, Traffic control, First Aid, Security, with the organisers also having to pay for Events and Public Liability and Volunteer Liability Insurances etc......and of course a marching band ...these services are in excess of £2800

So far BCAFD (a group of Community volunteers) has raised £2900 with the generous help of ERYC and Bridlington Town Council to pay for these specific costs. However, to make the event more than just a parade, additional funds are needed to pay for entertainment on the day ....Military Display Vehicles, Singers, Display Stands etc...this is to ensure it is fun/interesting day for those attending to support the Armed Forces Community (Serving, Cadets, Veterans and families) - all are welcome to come along and support the event and have fun..

Bridlington Town's National Armed Forces Day event is planned for 12 July 2025 and all are welcome. Parade will proceed from Cenotaph at 12:00 and conclude at RNLI Boathouse on Promenade ...where entertainers and events stands will hopefully be located if sufficient funds are raised.

All funds raised and associated expenditure will be accessible to public enquiry/published online/in local press on completion of event
