Story

Trying to do my bit for the local community by doing my first and potentially my last 5k run in Inverness on March 10th 2019 to raise funds and awareness for Angus Food Bank.

The foodbank supplies food parcels to last a minimum of three days along with recipe ideas for the goods supplied. The Food Banks rely entirely on the generosity of the public‘s charitable spirit. Last year, there were 2,699 food parcels given to local people and families in the Angus area.

The Montrose centre also acts as a drop in centre where people can come in for a cuppa, biscuits and a chat, there‘s a cafe for those who use our centre upstairs and we often organise events to offer social interaction so those who occasionally rely on the centre dont feel isolated from the community.

The Angus Food Bank do a tremendous job but there is an increasing need for us and therefore, a reliance on extra donations from those who are in a position to help, either with their time, food donations or cash donations. Please consider donating whatever you can to aid a fantastic organisation.
