Story

Maidstone Grammar School's Mr Ashenfelter is part of this year's Team GB for the FIMBA GB Masters CIC announce the Men's +65 team for this years European championships in Athens.

He has been an amazing coach for the school's Basketball Team and Barton House is raising money to support his journey alongside the England Basketball Team.

All donations of any size are most welcome and appreciated, and we'll keep you updated on his and the team's progress.

Barton House Captain Jacob K said of the event:

To be asked to support the Team GB basketball team was a fabulous opportunity for us. Being our first real task as a team, we were very keen to take on the challenge- especially knowing how grateful we would be if we were standing in their position. After the school's rugby success, riding that wave of sporting support was something we were more than happy to transfer to Mr Ashenfelter - someone most recognise as the friendly, smiley teacher around school.

If you would like to purchase a ticket for our raffle to be in with a chance to win one of Mr Ashfelter's artworks, please email development@mgs.kent.sch.uk for more information.
