I've raised £1000 to fund the first ever Basildon Pride Festival

Basildon Pride has been born from the success of Basildon Mini Pride. Summer 2018 saw a series of hate incidents against the LGBT+ community. Instead of responding with anger Basildon Mini Pride was organised in 2 weeks and included a march through Basildon Town Centre followed by a celebration at Colors Night Club – with the motto that ‘Love conquers hate!’
This year the LGBT+ community have decided to bring Pride to Basildon again but this time on a much larger scale.
Basildon Pride strives to promote equality and diversity throughout the town and its surrounding areas with an all-inclusive family focused event.
The main pride event will take place on Saturday 14th September 2019 with a free festival at Gloucester Park, Basildon following a colourful and exciting parade through Basildon Town Centre.
We have started planning this event with no funds being a new community organisation and we are working through a number of funding streams to ensure we can put on the biggest and best festival possible. We hope the community will support us in helping making this happen.
