The society celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 2022 and is open to members of all ages and skill levels with layouts on O, OO, N and OO9 scales and an active Junior section. The current club house has no running water, toilets or kitchen, lacks effective heating and has insufficient space for all the society's layouts. In 2023 the society commenced the project to build a new club house to provide space for all the club layouts with improved access, toilet facilities, etc. Construction of the building was completed just before Christmas 2023. Work is now underway on the internal 'fitting out' of the building. However, due to inflation and other unforeseen issues, the society now has insufficient funds to complete this final stage. Hence this appeal for your help.
