Story

27% of children in Bournemouth live below the poverty line according to shocking statistics. More than 10,000 youngsters in the borough live in families struggling to make ends meet & many are going hungry, according to the End Child Poverty Coalition.

We believe it is important to share our blessings with families who may not have food to eat at Christmas. With this in mind, our volunteers will gather together on 21st December this year to pack and deliver gift baskets with food for Christmas day and the days before and after. While the gifts we will bring are ordinary, the seeds we plant in the lives of the people are special and we need your help to make it happen.

Every penny generously donated will be spent on buying the fresh produce to create our Christmas baskets. Each basket costs £15 to make and deliver (this will feed a family of 4), although 'Just Giving' allows you to donate exactly what you want. So whether you donate £1 or £100 you'll be helping to feed families in Bournemouth and Poole this Christmas.

In 2019 we plan to raise £3000 in total and gather together around 80 volunteers to make and deliver 200 food baskets to 200 families!
