We are hoping to raise £1,000 or more for a close friend of ours, Aaron. He is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment at Bath RUH for Leukaemia.

Aaron, 36 years old, is a family man and lives with his partner Carly and their two young boys. Aaron is a fit and healthy man with a keen interest in sport and exercise. Following an unusual period of illness and tiredness at the end of May he was admitted to the RUH where he was given the diagnosis of Leukaemia.

He commenced treatment in June involving 4 rounds of Chemotherapy which sees him stay at the RUH for extended periods of time, away from his wonderful family. In between hospital visits he is able to return home, albeit with very little or no immunity which impacts what he can eat, where he can go and social interactions.

Aaron has tackled his diagnosis and Chemotherapy head on, with an incredibly positive mindset and smile on his face. He exercises at all opportunities to stay strong and keeps regular contact with his family and friends, socialising at distance when permissible.

As a group of friends we would love to raise funds for Aaron and his family with the proceeds to enjoy / use as they wish. We certainly all feel they are deserving of a treat!

We are taking on a challenge; running Bath to Bristol via Relish Running events. It is on the 20th of October 2024 along the Bristol & Bath Cycle Path. As a group we are covering various distances individually, ranging from 10km to 50km, catering for our varying fitness levels, injuries.

We have paid for our own entries so all donations will go directly to Aaron and his family. Any donations big or small will be greatly appreciated.
