Led by Steve Phillip and Mike McCarthy following the tragic loss of their sons Jordan and Ross by suicide. The BatonOfHopeUK is designed to be the highest profile and biggest impact suicide awareness and prevention initiative the UK has ever seen. Its primary purpose is to help move us towards a zero suicide society by raising awareness about suicide and suicide prevention, opening up conversations about suicide and suicide prevention, and encouraging appropriate action. At its peak, in Summer 2023, there will be a specially designed Baton touring the UK with an intense two-week period of activity, events and media coverage.

In the build-up to the live tour, there will be inclusive engagement with people and organisations who share our ambition, including the development of a series of Charters summarising what steps can be taken to help save lives. We will leave a legacy beyond the live tour.

By donating to this page, you will help fund this initiative and the investment being made in projects such as: website development, social media set-up and management, database set up and management, marketing, PR and graphic design support, including the development and creation of sponsorship, media and events packs, research and evaluation, and developing the Charters for Action, as well as several other costs associated with putting on an initiative of this scale.
