Story
Roux Owens' story resonates with everyone at Baysgarth School; he is a resilient little man and he is also the nephew of Miss Marshall, one of our Learning Managers. After being born, Roux was diagnosed with a rare brain tumour, one specialists around the world had not encountered. After eight operations and over 50 hours of surgery, light is at the end of the tunnel. Over the past year, the Owen family have raised over £29,000 for Ward 52 at Leeds General Infirmary and we would like to help their already phenomenal achievements.
To support Roux's Army, we are hosting a variety of events, including a Christmas Bake Off and a Covid-19 Safe Bake Sale in December. This is part of the Baysgarth Bistro project and we are running a Virtual Cluedo Murder Mystery competition in the new year and we are hoping to host an Afternoon Tea event in the warmer weather - further details to follow soon!
Please support this amazing cause if you can!
