On the 9th September I am taking on one of the worlds toughest extreme triathlons, the ”Double Brutal”

It has been 9 years since I last swam or cycled, so even with 9 months of gruelling training in preparation for this event I'm under no illusion, and realise it will likely be the toughest mental and physical personal challenge I have (and may ever) face however, I feel incredibly lucky and blessed to have this choice. Sadly, this is something that has currently been taken from Isaac (7) who is diagnosed with the very rare Battens Disease and Sebastian (6) who has Nuroblastoma, a very rare childhood cancer. These couragious, local boys are fighting for their lives every day when they should be enjoying a worry-free childhood.

It really is a cruel world and any family’s worst nightmare. That's why I have chosen to support Isaac and Sebastian, and their very deserving causes.
