As an art teacher i am passionate about the difference arts can make to children's lives. Not only does it help them to develop their creativity, imagination and provide them with motor skills, used across school subjects, it can nurture a child's confidence and pride in their achievements. It also provides a peaceful focus away from our busy lives and computer games, for reflection and philosophical thought! Many careers are looking for these skills and there are many jobs with an arts focus on our very door step in the Olympic Park. We would like to buy more of just the basics things like watercolours, new brushes, clay, mod roc etc and materials for a fantastic mural to be created by the pupils and enjoyed by all!
