On 4th July 2025, a team from Belfast City Mission in Rathcoole will be heading on a mission trip for 2 weeks to Teso in Kenya. We have partnered with LIFT (Labour In Faith and Trust) who will be coordinating this trip.

When we arrive, we will heading to Kenya Sunbeam Ministries (KSM), which is a Northern Ireland based charity. KSM was founded by Ellen Allison. Ellen runs a home where 76 abandoned or orphaned children now resided. The school, Rainbow Academy, now has over 200 children attending from the children's home and local community.

While there we will be assisting with practical building maintenance and the building of a dining hall and two offices for the school.

To get to Kenya it is going to cost each team member £1,400. Over half the team have never been on a foreign mission trip and this will be a tremendous opportunity to share God's Word and to see Him at work overseas.
