Battle Cancer Program

Battle Cancer Program is crowdfunding

raised of £60,000 target by 345 supporters

Weʼre raising £60,000 to provide free fitness programs for those affected by cancer online and in gyms across the world

What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

Worldwide fitness support for those post-cancer

The Battle Cancer Program is a free 12-week strength and fitness program tailored specifically for those post-cancer treatment.

When people undergo or complete treatment for cancer they're often left to return to "life as usual," but for them, that no longer exists.

We provide a support system and structure for them to take control of their own lives and adapt physically and mentally to take on the world around them.

Some even go on to become fitness coaches themselves!

Building physical and mental strength

Our program puts cancer survivors in local gyms and provides them with a free 12-week functional fitness course of two free classes per week. The training is specifically built with survivors in mind, while groups are kept small to foster a community of peer support through a shared experience of cancer.

Supporting the emotional, financial and practical needs of those impacted by cancer.

Survivors leading survivors

At the end of the 12-week program, there is the chance for one attendee to receive a fitness coach qualification. That coach then commits to help support the next wave of survivors.

Support from someone who's walked a mile in their shoes.

Proven to change lives

Our program is based on over 10 years of experience from Dr Colin Robertson and the Underground Training Station , as well as research from the MOVE Forward initiative - a study examining the impact of a 10-week functional fitness program on the fitness and quality of life with teenage and young adult cancer survivors.

The study found that the experimental group saw an overwhelming improvement in physical, emotional, cognitive, and social functioning, as well as a reduction in fatigue, appetite loss, and financial difficulties.

We are fundraising to support the program being made available FOR FREE in gyms across the UK and US. So far, we have seven locations confirmed to launch in 2021, but there is still a long way to go.

The program is also available free online for those not yet living near an in-gym program.
