I've raised £200 to To help support Victims of Domestic Abuse and Violence, Victims of Human and Sex Trafficking, and exploitation in our refuges and community.

* Two women are killed every week within the UK, due to Domestic Violence. *
* 1 in 3 women at some point in their lives will be affected by Domestic Abuse. *
* 600,000 males in the UK are affected by Domestic Abuse. *
Many of these victims and their children may end up having to flee their homes, due to the life threatening risks from the abusers. Resulting in a choice between homelessness or refuge.
Due to recent Government cuts, refuges are also in the firing line and having funding cut. This is affecting so many victims and children.
Victims are not only having to flee their homes, and their lives, they are also being faced with the lack of local refuge spaces, and are having to move across country..
This cuts victims off from their support networks, and makes them feel even more isolated; at times this may cause a victim to return to the abuser, just so they don't feel so alone.
Black Country Women's Aid aims to empower and support victims of Domestic Abuse in Sandwell, Walsall, and Dudley. Our refuges offer a safe space for victims to heal and flourish.
I am going to be doing a Fire Walk on Wednesday 25th April at 6pm, at Himley Hall - Dudley.
The money raised from this Fire Walk will go directly to the refuge, and enable us to provide even more support.
Thank you for taking your time to read this.
