On 21st May 2023, Daniel, Ben and Jimmy will take part in the Southport Tri-Athlon event as part of a relay team.

The chosen charities for sponsorship are Queenscourt Hospice Southport and Muscular Dystrophy - Spencer Family Fund.

Queenscourt Southport was chosen by Daniel and Ben because of their late Grandad, William Thompson known as Bill, who was the founder of the company W & M Thomspon Haulage which started up in 1972. Bill became ill in 2012 with Prostate cancer, when he became very unwell, we contacted Queenscourt Southport and they helped with his end of life care. Their kindness was second to none and they made a very difficult time for our family, as well as it could possibly be. https://www.queenscourt.org.uk/

Jimmy who Joined the company over 12 months ago, has chosen a charity which is very close to his family. Jimmy’s nephew Sean Spencer suffers with a rare muscle wasting condition known as Myofibrillar Myopathy; this is a progressive muscle wasting condition which comes under the diagnosis of Muscular Dystrophy. Jimmy has a passion for fitness, which led to the lads forming a team to take part in the Tri-Athlon. Ben (Swim), Jimmy (Cycle) and Daniel (Run) hope to raise as much money as possible for these charities which are very close to their hearts. Any support you are able to give is much appreciated.
