BDSRU Bridgend to Paris Cycle Challenge - 460 Miles!!

Bridgend & District Schools Rugby Union (BDSRU) U11’s is a schools rugby organisation which facilitates and oversees primary school rugby within Bridgend County. We also run a district squad consisting of two teams who play in the prestigious DC Thomas Cup competition and play regular inter-district games against the 24 other district teams across Wales.

We aim to provide the best possible experience for the players which culminates in our annual tour to Paris to play teams from Racing 92 and Stade Francais. There are considerable costs for the players to attend the tour so we are raising funds to try and fully cover the cost for every player so there are no financial barriers to the children having an amazing experience making lifelong friendships and memories.

District U11’s rugby is the first step on the ladder to representative honours with 87% of all modern Welsh internationals having played district U11’s rugby. Bridgend has a rich history of former BDSRU players going on to become full internationals and British and Irish Lions such as JPR Williams, Rob Howley, Gavin Henson, Gareth Cooper and Rhys Webb to name a few.

We are taking part in a cycle challenge covering the distance of 460 Miles from Bridgend to Paris and would greatly appreciate any donations you can give.
