Jack and I are hoping to raise >£1k in memory of our friend Pete who tragically passed away in April this year. We will be running the Bristol 1/2 marathon on Sunday 23rd September.

Pete was an amazing guy who always pushed the boundaries of what was possible, made everything he was involved in fun and enjoyable, and cared deeply about those around him in his family, friends and community. He was a volunteer trustee at the Wellspring Health Living Centre, and we feel it hugely appropriate to raise funds for the continued development of Bristol's Strawberry Lane Community Garden. Additional funding will ensure the development continues and the possibility of "Pete's Orchard".

Jack and I decided we should run the 13 miles in a costume that reminded us of Pete. Pete and I hitchhiked to Morocco 10 years ago, and it feels only suitable that I then run in a camel outfit wearing a Fez...

Jack shall be taking up the challenge dressed as a Spanish matador, to commemorate one of Pete's most daring feats - taking on the Bulls in Pamplona... and winning!
