    Story

If you read the news, you will know that Literacy standards in the UK are falling. Less and less children are being read to on a regular basis at home. Parents are doing their best to juggle the commitments of a working life and their family but finding time for sitting and reading a book can be hard.

So it falls on schools, particularly primary schools, to push reading more than ever. We want to help Beacon Academy do just that by raising £500 to restock their bookshelves with brand new books. Every penny raised will have an extra 20% added to it by Usborne Books at Home so even just a £10 donation could mean £14 worth of books.

So please, dig deep and support this wonderful school as they work to raise the literacy standards of our community's future generation of business men and women, politicians, teachers, doctors and parents.
