I've raised £200 to buy beads for St Isaacs Prep school, a non-governmental organisation (NGO) in Jinja, Uganda.

St Isaacs Prep School (NGO) is caring for orphans and those kids with HIV/AIDS, St. Isaacs lies in the small village of Kainogoga, on the outskirts of Jinja.
They provide free education and healthy meals to children from 5 to 12 years, they also teach in the community and have various projects on site.
Christopher Mubezi and his brother run the school and have approached me at 'Beadcraft' to help them start creative activities with beads, this means they can all learn, children and adults together, giving them creative education and a possible source of self made income. To start this work we need to raise some funds so that Christopher can buy the initial materials (beads, threads etc) to start the project.
Beading is not only great fun and an inclusive activity, it is also therapautic in it's calming and social approaches, giving those who participate enhanced fine motor skills, cognitive skills and visual perception. It is also said to 'decreases illness-related stress, provide positive coping strategies, help patients find meaning in illness, restores a sense of self in those coping with serious illness, lowers blood pressure and increases energy levels' (https://promedicahealthconnect.org/news-and-community/the-therapeutic-benefits-of-beading/).
Our intial set up is around $100 however if we can raise more this will mean they can purchase more beads for more participants in this on-going project. Whatever you can afford would be greatly appreciated and make such a huge difference.
Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts. Jo
