I've raised £4000 to Donations for Broomfield Hospital's neonatal unit to help other babies born too soon and their families x

November 25th 2017 our cheeky monkeys decided to arrive 10 weeks 2days early! Bear weighed 2lb 6 oz and Hunter weighed just 2lb 1 oz, dropping down to 950g in the first few days after birth. We were absolutely terrified that one or both boys may not of made it but thankfully due to the amazing care they recieved at Broomfield Hospitals neonatal unit they are both now happy thriving 1year old boys and that simply wouldn't be the case if it wasn't for the unit and all their amazing staff!
It was a long journey, with both boys being in hospital for 8 weeks and 2 days. They recieved a number of different treatments and procedures whilst on the ward including Cpap, high/low flow oxygen, had cannula's as they reguarly had blood taken, phototherapy for jaundice, NG feeding tube as they were too small to even suckle for weeks, antibiotics, constant monitoring of heart rate and oxygen levels, spent weeks in incubators as they couldnt yet regulate their own temperature, ambilical line, tbn feeds, hunter even had to have a lumbar puncture......but after all that we eventually got too take our little miracles home and they were even home before their due date! We ow everything to the nurses and doctors that cared fo Bear and Hunter during these weeks and as a way of thanks we are hoping to raise £4000 over the next year to donate to the unit. This will be used however the unit see fit. Either new equipment or more simple items for babies and their families. Thankyou of you managed to read this far! Any donations will be greatly appreciated xxx
