Story

I am Ashrafullah Khan, I provide women & girls in my community back home with very low cost sanitary pads. But demand is rising and I need your support to produce pads locally for women & girls who need them.
In Bangladesh 95% of the women do not use sanitary napkin because of its unavailability and unaffordability. Not only in rural or coastal areas but also in urban areas girls/women use old rags, husk sands and ashes during menstruation which causes severe reproductive health problems.
My project “beautiful7days” to help adolescent girls and poor women in Bangladesh for their menstrual hygiene which will make impact of having access to sanitary products
My workings areas are:
1. With Adolescent girls
2. RMG (Ready Made Garment) workers
3. Refugee (Rohingya) in Bangladesh
The project will be implemented as follows:
1. Training for the Trainers
2. Create Awareness
3. Educating on menstrual hygiene
4. Empowering through RSP ( Rural Sales Program), Towards a scalable rural sales agent model for distributing socially beneficial goods to the poor, manufacturing pads in the factory.
5. Campaign with partners
6. Adolescent Health & Hygiene program
7. Supply them the materials or equipment
Together with Raise the Roof, I want to create a hub for women and girls which will produce menstrual hygiene products and distribute them across the region.
Your donations will finance a space, equipment and materials to produce low cost sanitary napkins and keep up with demand. Once built, the hub will generate employment in the region and support hundreds of women and girls to realise their own potential and create social uplift by creating employment for groups of rural women.
Together we can make a difference to thousands of lives and show them that we care and helping to restore their dignity.
