Story
This story are the words from Becka Gardiner a Young mummy of 2 beautiful girls.
So basically got diagnosed with breast cancer in 2016, started chemo lost all my hair, also had a double mosectamy, then had radiotherapy, got diagnosed with secondary cancer in 2020, suffering with awful back pain, no medication was helping, put myself to a&e as I ended up with pain across my stomach, thought I have a liver infection but never actually confirmed what it was, my consultant heard I had been admitted to hospital and straight away got me in for scans ect, which then confirmed that it had spread to my spine, and many of my other bones, and the horrible fact that it's terminal, guys cancer centre was involved, which let to more scans and found out that it had gone to my liver, started another treatment which didn't work, and now have had to go back on to chemotherapy which I never thought would happen again currently, now started my 2nd cycle of chemotherapy.
I'm 30 this year, and was going to celebrate with a birthday party and generally have somthing to look forward too, I'd love to be able to do this, but due to finances it isn't possible as me and my husband are out of work, and my husband has now had to become my full time carer, Would also be lovely to even maybe have a caravan holiday or even be able to take my husband and 2 girls to harry potter world as they are going through the ordeal with us, they are 7 and 10, the 7 year old wouldn't remember me going through this as she was inly inly toddler, but my 10 year old does remember! So we're very much all about making memories and enjoying what we can, and due to my own reasons I dint want to know my prognosis unless I absolutely have to know, I just have what I've got to have treatment wise and just be where I got to be. So I don't know how long I've got not a nice things to say but that's reality of my family's situation and this may be the only birthday milestone I can reach!
