Story

Here is the story all about a 6 year old boy named Robert. This horrible journey started at the beginning of May and everything since has become one whirl wind of emotions. A poorly Robert was taken to hospital with a rash and bruising after doctors suspected he may have meningitis. After several tests and many days/weeks of worrying and wrong diagnosis he was finally given a diagnosis that meant a long, long road to recovery. Robert has being diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia, a condition that means he is exceptionally poorly and to save his life he urgently needs a bone marrow transplant and chemo. Luckily, Robert has a little brother who is a match! The road doesn't end here though, in order for this to be successful, Robert has to undergo months of treatment 127 miles away from his family. Robert and his mum will have to travel to Leeds from their home in Skegness to recieve this treatment. Times are hard for his family having already spent £100's of pounds to travel to their hospital which is over 2 hours away from them! As Robert requires chemo, he needs to be in hospital for a long period of time away from his loved ones. When he does come home his environment needs to be sterile. This is where your donations will be greatfully appreciated. Anything will be helpful, even a few pennies, it all adds up. Your donations will go towards this and the everyday things that Robert, his mummy and his little donor brother will need.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and support a family very much in need.
