Sully has been at the vets nearly a week he has developed peritonitis, samonella infection and because of his has a sever impaction in his intestines. This caused him to colic (horses cant be sick so they have stomach cramps as the digestive system can't function.

We haved ruled out surgery for Sully. The infections are around his whole stomach lining and the risk is very high. He also would not cope mentally with the rehabilitation and months as being kept inside. It's currently a waiting game while keeping him comfortable trying to flush him through with lots of fluid and drugs but every day in the isolation its becoming more and more expensive.

His friend Gizmo the miniture shetland is alone in his field and missing his best friend not being able to explain where he is is heart breaking. After losing 2 of my pets 4 and 2 years ago I needed my other animals to help me carry on. They do not fill the gap but make it that bit smaller. My horses mean everything to me, they are the reason I get up every day. I have a purpose and they bring me happiness and much more that I cannot write into words.
