Story
This organisation aims to help aid families that were affected by the 2004 Tsunami in Thailand, by doing so volunteers such as myself are chosen to work alongside the organisation by teaching Thai children English so that they have a much wider variety of opportunities when they leave school such as going to University or have a better chance in the job industry as they will have the English language behind them. Due to the costs of hiring English native speakers Thai schools rely on volunteers to teach the children.
I will be flying out to Thailand in June and to help raise money I am going to be taking part in two main events:
The first one being a 15.9 mile walk from Leeds Beckett University Headingley campus to Xscape at Castleford.
The second one I will be abseiling down Portland Building, one of the University Buildings on City campus.
Any donations will go along way and will be much appreciated, Thank you.
