Story

The son-rise cup was set up to help a 5 year old severely autistic boy from Tavistock who had no eye contact and no speech. The son-rise therapy is from the USA but very natural and intense. From the very first raiser to now several hundred thousand has been raised to help many people and children. Paul Lewis the original child is now vocal and communicates well but the vast number of people the cause has helped is incredible. An ability Counts football club (Tavispecials FC) is now in its 11th year and has 60 plus members who play competitive football in the Devon Ability Counts Leagues. Lives are changed , people who wouldn't have the chance to play football now do! friendships and lives are better. The late Trevor walker was referee for 7 years at the event. Trevor loved the son-rise cup and what it stood for. He was a munched loved respected man who the event committee were extremely proud of . He was a well known referee and loved football, Trevor passed away suddenly and we are running in his memory for the charity he loved and supported.

You can follow the son-rise cup and the Tavistock specials on face book and www.sonrisecup.co.uk

Please help us raise money for this local organisation and in memory of Trevor Walker.

Thank you
