I've raised £350 to Support After care for a disabled friend who needs a operation, as this can not be funded solely by the Local Authority.

Pauline has Type two Diabetes, Epilepsy, Hypothyroid and is also recovering from 25%burns from an accident, which as left her with Post traumatic stress disorder. She also suffers with anxiety and has learning needs. Pauline will always suffer with back pain (where most of the scar tissue is from the burns) Pauline can also only have clothing/sheets etc with natural fibres so it don't irritate her skin.
As Pauline has been unable to work, she has always tried to give to others.Pauline has tried really hard all her life to support the community and help others. She has done a lot of voluntary work for charities and currently volunteers in the local library, as she has a real passion for reading. She loves books and Art. She attends Art therapy which really helps her.
Pauline needs daily care, especially when showering (incase of an epileptic fit), which she is prone too. She has some care from the Local and already has to contribute £60.34 per week towards this. The rate she should be paying is £87 but she can't afford this. Paulines parents who are both retired and have medical issues and ill health them self has always done her additional care, but they are no longer in a position to do so.
Pauline is due to go in for an operation in September and will need extra care through September till October. Pauline needs to contribute an extra £350 towards this to be able to receive it. This care may need to even be extended which is not covered in the above sum. Due to Pauline suffering with anxiety and PSTD, this is just raising her worries and escalating the situation for her, when the operation itself it gong to be anxiety provoking enough. If we can raise the £350 to help support the two months additional care, after the operation will be amazing to relieve this pressure.
Anything extra donated will go towards additional care for Pauline. Pauline has always tried to give to the community and others, now it is our time to try and give back. It doesn't matter how little a donation is as it all helps to get to an end goal.
