I've raised £500 to give destitute families in Kabubbu, Uganda something to look forward to; something as small as a football or a colouring book.

Story

Aimee has been selected for a school trip to Kabubbu, Uganda in July 2019. As part of the selection process she must raise £500 so Aimee and I have decided to run, swim, cycle and walk from London to Uganda (metaphorically of course) in exchange for a few pounds.

The distance from Heathrow to Entebbe is 4025 miles so we have given ourselves 6 months to complete this challenge; this works out as 670 miles per month. Our journey will start on 1st August and we hope to ‘arrive’ in Uganda on 1st February 2019. Every run, walk, cycle, step we take over the next 6 months will be added to the total and I will chart our progress as we go.

Please remember Aimee is 15 so this is a massive challenge for her.

The money raised will help to deliver better living conditions to the families in Kabubbu.

The ten day trip Aimee is embarking on will include helping to build an extension to the community centre, teaching English to the school children, visiting destitute families and carrying out agricultural tasks. It will be hard work and they are allowed one 2 minute shower per day and be living in the community in dormitories.

Please donate anything you can, we’d both be so grateful. Anything you can give will go such a log way for these families.
