We lost our brilliant dad to Dementia in 2022 and his illness spent years showing us what a cruel and isolating disease Dementia is. Life becomes so confusing. So difficult. And it's painful for everyone. Loved ones feel helpless. And to make it worse, finding things to do and places to go where the condition is understood is hard.

At Metal's Connect & Create project in Chalkwell Park, they get it. They know how dementia makes people feel. They know how important creativity is as an outlet for those suffering. They know how important respite is for loved ones.
