I've raised £600 to PWSA UK

I’ve signed up to jump out of an aeroplane to raise money for the Prader-Willi Syndrome Association (PWSA UK). Yes, I had been drinking when I agreed to it!! As most of you will be aware, my youngest daughter Betsy was born with this rare genetic disorder which comes with a wealth of symptoms. PWS causes insatiable hunger as sufferers are not able to ever feel full. I know how bad it is to feel ‘hangry‘ but Betsy feels like this 24/7, no matter what she eats. PWS also causes learning difficulties, behaviour problems, floppy, weak muscle- tone, global delay in development and slow metabolism meaning she is prone to putting on dangerous amounts of weight very easily. There are many more issues that come with having PWS including, spinal problems and eyesight problems amongst others.
Prader-Willi syndrome happened randomly for is. Our beautiful baby girl was rushed into hospital and spent the first five weeks of her life there. During this time we were given Betsy’s diagnosis and The Prader-Willi Syndrome Association were an absolute lifeline to is. Without their support we would have been even more scared and lost. The association helps families understand the syndrome, points them in the right direction for help and support and puts them in contact with other families who have experience of PWS. They also fund research to try to help find a cure for this cruel syndrome. They rely on donations to be able to continue their crucial work. So please give whatever you can. And if anybody wants to push me out of the plane.... 😊
