Story
We are a Community Interest Company working to support families in and around Worcester from pregnancy through the first year of parenting. We recognise that this life-changing time brings challenges, as well as joys, and want to be there to help smooth the transition and give new families the best possible start. At the moment our services are limited by what we can subsidise through our not-for-profit company. (You can see what we offer and read more about us here - https://www.becomingfamilies.co.uk/) We need more funds to enable us to continue and to expand our services.
We need ongoing funds to help us continue to run a free postnatal mental health & wellbeing support group, and additional services that will support the building of strong parent-infant relationships. We passionately believe that better mental health across the lifespan begins right at the very start and that support in these early days, weeks and months can have a huge positive impact on the happiness and wellbeing of mums, dads and children.

Becoming Families
1 year agoWoohoo! We reached our original funding target of £3000! Thank you so much for your generous donations. This has enabled us to provide our postnatal wellbeing support group and 1:1 wellbeing support to new parents, and what remains in the pot will enable us to continue to offer these services, virtually for the time being! We have extended our target as we rely on ongoing donations to continue to offer our much needed services. The more £££ we have, the more we can do and the more families we can support!

Becoming Families
2 years agoWe continue to receive kind donations into our postnatal wellbeing fund and are so thankful that your support continues through this period where services have been disrupted. Thank you to each and every one of you, particularly those who have donated anonymously and we are unable to thank in person! We've been able to continue to offer support via phone, email and text during lockdown and are beginning to look ahead to resuming classes and groups soon. Please keep sharing our JustGiving page! Or consider making a monthly donation maybe!

Becoming Families
2 years agoThank you so much for your continuing support of Becoming Families. Although we are currently restricted by Covid-19 and unable to offer our services face-to-face, we are doing what we can to continue offering some courses and support online. We know that times are incredibly difficult for many people right now, but if you are able to make a donation, however small, we can keep filling that pot so we are able to resume our free postnatal wellbeing support group and bespoke support for new families as soon as we possibly can.
