James is a firefighter from Norfolk who broke his neck in a freak accident. The subsequent paralysis has left James in the unfortunate position of needing a lot of medical treatment.

Consequently firefighters from Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue will be fighting challengers from other services in a charity boxing night at Batchwood Hall in St Albans on Saturday 17th June.

The vast majority of those fighting have never stepped foot inside a boxing ring let alone taken part in a fight in front of hundreds of people.

The fighters have been training very hard over the eight weeks leading up to the fight with lots of blood (literally in this instance) sweat and tears spilt along the way.

Tickets are available for the event however for those of our friends and families who are unable to make it but would like to make a donation to this very worthy cause we have set up this fundraising page.

Everything donated here will be passed through to the fundraising pot which is raised by the fight night.
