Story

Honeybees are very gentle, curious, and social creatures, one of the few species on our planet that share communicate so effectively with each other.

Honeybees and other insect pollinators are incredibly important to us. They pollinate a third of the worlds food crops, our gardens, even our allotments.

As part of their lifecycle, honeybee colonies split, some of the bees go ff to look for a new home, this is known as a swarm. Contrary to popular beleif when in swarm honeybees are possibly at their most sedate as they have no young or food to protect. They are simply seeking a new home, to create a new colony.

As we lose more and more of our habitat to roads, building and other development it is harder for honeybees to find a new home.

Reportedly only 25% of honeybee swarms survive the ordeal.

We are caretakers of our home, our planet, as such BeekeeperTom will never turn a honeybee swarm away.

He collects all the honeybee swarms he can physically reach.

Once collected the honeybees are placed into a new beehive, then sited on conservation, bio-diversity or other areas rich in foraging. After which he looks after them year after year.

Whilst BeekeeperTom subsidises this good work year after year, it is becoming increasingly challenging to maintain the required funding.

With your help we can make, a difference and continue to save as many honeybees as possible.

A little help from you, will really make such a difference.

Every colony of honeybees we save contributes to the survival of our precious pollinators. With your support we can continue to save many more honeybees, save more pollinators, and you can feel great about making a difference
