THE STORY:
The Evans family - Bob, Sue, Sam, Riley and Dylan - are all helping to bring beekeeping to the Trinity Yard School (TYS). Beekeeping has recently been added to the curriculum to teach the fundamentals of beekeeping to TYS students, to provide a new source of income to the students and the school, and to create a local beekeeping community.

The money raised here will fund the acquisition of bee hives, bottling equipment, training, and field support. Over time, the TYS beekeepers community will mentor younger students, educate the locals about the importance of a healthy bee population, and create a broad and sustainable local beekeeping industry.

Trinity Yard School is a Non-Government Organization (NGO) aimed at serving the youth of Cape Three Points, Ghana, and its surrounding communities. Due to the lack of government-run secondary schooling, opportunities beyond junior high school are particularly limited, and local students are often prematurely pushed off the academic track, limiting their potential for growth. TYS provides a fee-free secondary education option with a focus on English and reading comprehension, math, traditional kente weaving, sustainable agriculture, and a variety of extra-curricular activities and vocational workshops.
