I've raised £200 to plant bee friendly crops and flowers in our local area from hospices to back gardens.

Organised by Beth Wain
We are aiming to slow down the decline in the bumble bee population across the UK. Bumble bees pollinate over 400 crops worldwide, this is around one third of the food we and our cattle consume. If the population continues declining, our world will be faced with more widespread famine and increasing global levels of carbon dioxide due to low levels of photosynthesising plants. Everyday Chesterfield becomes more urbanised and natural green space is quickly disappearing; leaving many bumble bees without any habit and source of food. The money raised will be used to give back what the bees have lost.
