Story
I am running the Leeds Half Marathon to raise funds towards the purchase of a defibrillator for Beeston Juniors Football Club. We are a volunteer run, not for profit football club based on Cardinal Square, South Leeds and provide almost 200 children with the opportunity to play football each week, regardless of ability. We also have 2 open age teams. There have been recent high-profile cases of elite sports competitors suffering cardiac arrests during or shortly after physical activity. We feel that having 60+ teenage players and 30+ adult players this would be a vital piece of equipment to have on site at our clubhouse. Hopefully it will never need to be used, but would be on hand if ever needed.
